Pet Insurance Plan

There are two main reasons for taking out a pet insurance plan. The first is to cover the vet’s bills if your pet should fall ill or be injured; the second is to cover the costs involved in trying to find your pet should they go missing. Direct Line’s pet insurance policies are designed to address both of these concerns.

You can choose between our Essential cover (which covers your pet for 12 months up to a maximum of £4,000) or our Advanced cover (which covers your pet up to £6,000 and with no time limit on reaching the maximum). This will pay the vet’s fees, which we can arrange for you by paying the vet direct. Subject to a fixed one-off excess for each condition, your pet is covered per condition, so there is no restriction on the number of times you can claim.

Did you know Direct Line pet insurance can also cover you for boarding fees if the policyholder is hospitalised or if you have to cancel your holiday if your pet goes missing.

Direct Line’s pet insurance plan also addresses the problem of pets going missing. We offer up to £1000 towards local advertising expenses you incur to help you get your pet back if it is stolen or strays. This includes a reward of up to £200.

It’s all part of offering you a good deal better at Direct Line, so get a quote on a pet insurance plan today.
